Black Tea
Black Tea is stronger than any other type of tea. Black tea is more widely consumed and is the most common type of tea in the western world. . Black tea is fully fermented, and gains its color and character from the processing of the leaves. The leaves range in color from brown to black, often with golden or silver tips. The caffeine content is higher in black Tea as compared to the less oxidized varieties .The bright copper liquor has a full, round aroma, and a flavor ranging from malty to flowery. Black Tea retains its flavour for many years. All Black Tea contain polyphenols which are powerful antioxidants and have great restorative power. This is the only type of tea that can be taken with milk and sugar.

CTC refers to the Crush, Tear & Curl process .Steps in CTC tea manufacture includes, withering of harvested crop, green leaf shifting, reconditioning, rolling, fermentation, drying, grading & sorting and packing.
Orthodox
Majority of the processing steps are identical to that of CTC manufacture.The steps involved in orthodox tea manufacture include withering, preconditioning, rolling (roller or rotorvanes), roll-breaking and green leaf sifting, fermentation, drying, grading & sorting and finally packing.
